Welcome to japan_abc. This is an icontest focusing on anything and everything from Japan!
Each week a letter of the alphabet and a theme will be given. Your icon(s) must have something to do with that letter or the theme. For the letter theme, the anime/manga/movie could begin with that letter, the musician's/character's name could begin with the letter, a word in your icon(s) could begin with the letter, etcetera. As long as your icon has something to do with the letter of the week or the theme then you should be fine. :)
This community gives out rewards/prizes (through LiveJournal) to winners!
Rewards/Prizes include: gift certificates, virtual gifts, paid account time or add-ons.
1.) Icons must be made by you. No stealing from other people...It's not nice.
2.) Icons must be kept anonymous throughout the run of the contest (don’t post them elsewhere before voting is over). You may not submit an icon that you have used or posted elsewhere. (Open or "public" Photobucket accounts break this rule - Set your Photobucket accounts to "private".)
3.) All icons must meet Livejournal standards - under 40kb and 100x100px in GIF, JPG, or PNG format.
4.) Please host your icon somewhere other than LJ that allows direct linking. Try Photobucket or TinyPic.
5.) Animation is allowed.
6.) You are allowed to submit three (3) icons unless otherwise stated.
7.) To vote and/or participate you must be a member of this community and/or be watching the community.
All submissions should be posted in a comment to the challenge post. All comments are screened, so only you and the original poster will see them.
Please submit your icons like this:
Subject (Musician/Character/Etc): Japan
Challenges will run for two weeks. New themes will be posted on Saturdays or Sundays. Voting will be posted Saturdays or Sundays with winners announced on Monday or Tuesday.
Voting will take place as comments in the voting post. All members/watchers of the community are allowed to vote regardless of whether they submitted an icon. Votes are weighted, so make sure to vote in proper rank. You may not vote for your own icon.
